1964 Blackbelt Magazine article - tournament with Sensei Zenpo Shimabukuro

Sensei Dan Smith sent me this copy of a Black Belt magazine article from 1964. Sensei Zenpo Shimabukuro, was nineteen years old when he moved to the US. He was twenty when this article was written. He also won the Canadian National Championship in 1964 and lost the grand championship match at Jhoon Rhee’s Championships in Washington, D.C. to Allen Steen, a well known karate competitor at that time.
